Based in Yokohama, bilingual EN/JA, with 9 years lived in Brisbane, Australia. I personally deliver all four LUMA services — English lessons, family photography, the S.League mahjong community, and English-guided Tokyo tours.
I moved to Brisbane, Australia at the age of 15, pushed by my mother. Nine years in a place where I knew neither the language nor the culture taught me three things: how to express myself, how to let go of the fear of being wrong, and how to keep showing up for the people around me.
Back in Japan I built parallel practices — English coaching, photography, and community organising. Since 2022 I've hosted "S.League," a healthy mahjong community that has grown to 23 events and over 347 cumulative participants in four years.
My theme is simple: support self-confidence with words and shared experience. As LUMA's founder, I personally run all four service areas.
From a small town in Aichi to Brisbane, Tokyo, and Yokohama.
Started life in Brisbane from zero — no language, no cultural map.
High school, university, and local work. Built fluency and a multicultural lens.
Returned from Australia and based myself in Yokohama, starting to shape a personal practice.
Launched a no-stakes, health-mahjong tournament community in Shinbashi, Tokyo. Now 347+ cumulative participants.
"Clarity by Design — Illuminate Your Confidence." Personal studio across four service areas.
"It's never too late to start." — that's the answer my own life pointed me to.
No templates. We find your shape through conversation, together.
Options that don't fit Japan's default mould — drawn from nine years abroad.
Not a dramatic transformation, but small changes you can sustain. Words and lived experience to support self-belief.
